This excellent photo is of USAF pilot Lt Col (Ret) Phil Stinson, pictured next to his Gazelle helicopter XW898 on the ramp at RAF Church Fenton on 4th July 1976, just prior to him displaying as part of the 4-ship display team from RAF Ternhill. As that particular day was the 200th birthday of the USA, the ground crew added a special decal to Phil's aircraft to celebrate, as can be seen on the door to his right. © Phil Stinson
